Each committee is chaired by a board member. The board is required to follow codes, RCW’s and policies to meet fiduciary responsibility of their position. In the past a few projects were done in a way that these standards were not followed, and we are now starting to pay the price of doing business this way as a Park. Please do not apply if you feel this is something you are not willing to follow. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to get started (unless noted otherwise).
To make volunteering easier, most of the work will be done through Zoom meetings. Unfortunately we cannot stain a building through the internet at this time. I am sure the day will come when I can do it on my phone. A monthly report can be submitted to the board, prior to the monthly meeting and it will be entered into the minutes.
Board Member:
We are seeking at least three new board members. At this time, three are not leaving, one board member is retiring after many years of service. Having the names of people who are willing to step up if a current board member needs to make a change in their life i.e. career, birth, moving away, etc. is helpful. The board is currently exploring using Zoom for all monthly meetings starting in August, and physically meeting once a quarter. This idea could allow people with busy schedules to make each months meeting and allow members who did not live close to listen in to the monthly meeting. Contact Richard McGuire, the chair of our nominating committee if interested.
